Father Muller Charitable Institutions had a humble beginning under
a Banyan tree where Fr Augustus Muller S.J. Started dispensing Homoeopathic Medicines
free of charge to the ailing poor. His spiritual Ideas and motivating reflecting Christian
Love Continue to guide the destinies of the Institutions, which have been steadily
expanding their services, ever remaining in the vanguard of medical progress.
F.M.C.I. have been blessed with a succession of selfless, dedicated personnel,
Medical and Nursing staff, Para-medical workers and others with a CARE for all,
irrespective of religion, caste or community.
Father Muller Charitable Institutions has been rendering comprehensive
medical care with its motto 'Heal and Comport'. The entire Hospital Complex has now a
total of 1050 beds devoted to the various specialities with well-developed modern
facilities for treatment. A Leprosy Centre, a Rehabilitation Centre, a School of
Nursing, a College of Nursing, B.Sc. in Physiotherapy, B.Sc. in Radiography, B.Sc.
in Medical Laboratory technology, Hospital Aids training, M.Sc. in Hospital Management,
Undergraduate (MBBS) and Post Graduation (MD/MS) in modern medicine, and Homoeopathic
Medical College and a Homoeopathic Pharmaceutical Unit are some of the major units
at F.M.C.I. A Centre for de-addiction and rehabilitation of alcoholics is established
with in-patient facilities for 40 beds.
